Jane Tivey Born 1816
Jane Tivey was the second eldest daughter of John Tivey and Ann Edwards and was born in Staunton Harold, Leicestershire:

The hamlet of Staunton Harold, nestles in a corner of north west Leicestershire, close to the Derbyshire border. For five hundred years it was at the core of the Staunton Harold Estate, and the hall was home to the Shirley family, who became Earls Ferrers. Jane's family worked on the land on the estate and lived in the squire's cottages on the Earl Ferrers' land and also on Farm land at Lount where her mother's Edwards and Shakespear families resided. Sadly, the cottages and village at Staunton Harold no longer exist as the land was flooded to create the estates own resvoir. The Staunton Harold Old School house is pictured below.
Jane was baptized along with her sister at Worthington St Matthew's Chapel on 21st April 1816 when she was a few weeks old.
