William Tivey and Eliazbeth Heatherley were married at Ashby de la Zouch St Helen's Church 28th August 1816. They form part of GROUP 8. William was a native of Melbourne, the son of Thomas & Mary Tivey. Apprenticed out by the Overseers of the poor of Melbourne in 1803 aged 11 years. His master was William Hallam a framework knitter. William and Elizabeth resided in Shepshed, Leicestershire with their family. They were very poor and the family can be found in the Loughborough Work house registers on several occassions.
