This young bride and her dashing groom are
Ruby Rebecca Tivey and
Samuel Green who were married 4 March 1898.
Ruby was born 18 April 1879 along with her twin sister Pearl, in
Kybean near Nimmitabel NSW, Australia. She belongs to group 3
but no information was known about her at the time the Tivey
Book was published by LF Tivey in 1973. Her father was Alfred Tivey who along with his parents Samuel and Phoebe (Wild) emigrated to Australia in 1848. Sadly her twin Pearl died when she was a toddler after falling into a river near the family home. A Big Thanks to Bev Willet for this photo. Ruby and Sam brought up her grandmother Muriel Tivey. |
