This photo was taken in Australia and features Elizabeth Tivey and her husband James Thomas. Elizabeth was born in Harrington Street, Nottingham, England in 1840 - she travelled to Australia with her family in 1848 and settled in the Monaro district of New South Wales. James was born in Pembrokeshire, Wales in 1834. He and Elizabeth married in 1861 in Cooma, NSW and 12 children followed. This photo was donated to the site by Sera Jones.
