Doris Aline Witts was the daughter of Edwin John Witts and Rachel Rankin and the granddaughter of Sarah Ann Tivey and Alfred Edward Witts. She was born 1898 in Peak Hill, NSW, Australia and married Alexander Mornington Balcombe in 1924.
