The gentleman in the centre is William Tivey (1871-1971) of Group 6. The photo was taken by a Salford newspaper who were running a feature on him in his 100th year. Sadly, he passed a few weeks before he reached a 100. He is my husband's Great Grandfather and worked as a postman for many years - probably what kept him so fit! His grandson Sidney Tivey (1923-2000) and William's daughter Edith Jane Tivey (Baxter) (1893-1976) are with him in the photograph |
