Sydney was the son of
Rowland Tivey born 1865 Birmingham England and
Lydia Brockhouse
of Staffordshire England. He was born 1893 in North Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia He is pictured in his army uniform and joined the 13th Infantry Riflemen 5th Battalion in Australia.
