Louisa
Teresa Prince was born in Dudley
Staffordshire in 1859. She was the daughter of Isaac Prince, A
magistrate clerk and accountant and his wife Emma Round. She was the
sister of Isaac Albert Prince, Emma
Malvina Prince (Mrs Frederic Barton Edwards),
Edwin Philander Prince, Lizzie Laura Prince,
Florence Victoria Prince and Arthur Frederick Prince who were
all born in Dudley. In 1882 Louisa married Tom Brown Tivey, a
commercial traveller who worked in the printing industry in 1882. The couple
moved to Birmingham and Walsall before settling in Alsager,
Cheshire. They had five children in total, Harold, Ida, Gladys, Tom
and Reginald. Louisa died 13 December
1945 in her hometown of Dudley. This photo
from her daughter Gladys Tivey's own collection of family
photographs and is labelled "My Mother". .
