Jane Tivey Born 1816

IN 1881 Abraham and Jane are still in Worthington and Abraham was still listed as an agricultural labourer despite being 79 years of age! He was also the Parish Clerk at Worthington St Matthew's in his latter years from  the 1860's, a post that was held by the Frearson family for 5 generations before him.

Abraham died January 6th 1885 in Worthington he was buried at Breedon on the Hill next to the grave of his and Jane's youngest daughter Emma who died in 1874 aged 19.

Jane Died 5 years later on 15th March 1890 aged 74. Her death certificate reads" 1890 Death in the sub-district of Ashby de la Zouch in the Counties of Leicester & Derby, Entry No 453; Jane Frearson, Female aged 76 years, Widow of Abraham Frearson Labourer Agricultural; Cause of Death Old Age, Chronic Bronchitis, Certified by John J Ferres, LSA, Informant ~ John Frearson, Son of Richmond Hill, Alfreton, Derby, seventeenth March 1890, William Heafield, Registrar;"

Jane was buried in the same grave as her husband, her sister Frances (Franks) is also buried nearby.

Jane & Abraham's monument reads "Loving Remembrance of Abraham Frearson of Worthington, Who died January 6 1885, Aged 82 Years; Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord: For they rest from their labours and their works do follow them: Also of Jane, His wife, who died March 15 1890, Aged 74 Years; Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy- laden, and I will give you rest"

The monument still stands in the graveyard at Breedon on the Hill today (2012)
