LAST TRIBUTES TO MR H. TIVEY The funeral of Mr. Henry Tivey licensee of the Malt Shovel, Kedleston-street, Derby, took place at Nottingham-road Cemetery, yesterday. A service in St Alkmund’s Church, was
conducted by the rev. P F Pleming. Mr Tivey was a member of the Derby Licensed
Victuallers’ Association. Many friends gathered at the church to
pay their last tribute of respect. Mourner’s were: Mr H Tivey and Mr G Tivey
(sons) Mr George Tivey (brother), Mrs F Taylor and Mrs H Ward
(sisters) Mrs G Tivey (sister-in-law) Mr A Tivey (nephew) Mrs H
Holt, Mrs J Wheeldon and Mrs P Thompson (nieces) Wreaths were sent by : With deppest regret
from his two sons, Harry and George; Brother George, Edith and
Family’ sister Harriet; sister Esther, Fred and Family; Arthur,
Edith and little Bobby; Gertie and family; neighbours of
Garden-street and Kedleston-street, Derby Licensed Vituallers
Association; customers and friends Malt Shovel Inn; an old
friend Mrs Williamson; Kedleston-street – Mr and Mrs J
Sketchley, Frank; Mrs Sam Roome; Lizzie; Mrs Morgan and Thursa;
Mr and Mrs Fred Turpie; Mr and Mrs Bowler; Mr and Mrs Bond.
Doris and Alf; directors and staff of Pountain & co. Ltd. The
