Gertrude was born in 1872 in Sheffield to parents Charles Tivey and Ellen Elizabeth Shirtcliffe, she is from Group 14 (F) Charles and Gertrude has 6 children and lived in Sheffield. Charles died in 1920, 7 years later Gertrude married again to John Thompson (1864-1943).
