George was the son of Richard Tivey and martha Stonly of Group 21. He and Hannah had 3 children, Mary Tivey 1836-1924 (Mrs John Farren Murby) Frances Fanny Tivey 1839-1891 (Mrs Edward Warner) and Elizabeth Tivey 1841-1928. Mary had one child out of wedlock - Richard William Tivey (1863-1939) and Elizabeth had two children Constance Louisa Tivey (Mrs William Cooper 1864-1955) and Uriah George Tivey 1866-1944.
