George was born 9th December 1888 in Carlton Nottinghamshire, the son of Walter Tivey and Frances Kemp of Group 8. Florence remarried in 1933 to John Swinscoe, a widower, a year after the death of George, who died of Heart Failure in 1932. they had two Children, Dennis Tivey (1924-2009) and Alan Tivey (1930-1932).
