Mary Middleton off full age, Spinster, Kings Newton, daughter of John Middleton, Labourer; both signed in the presence of Thomas Middleton and Eliza Tivey.

George Tivey was born in Melbourne, Derbyshire to Parents James Tivey and Mary Earp in 1828. Mary & George had 3 children in their short marriage (George died 1857) George, John and Thirza. Thirza Tivey was the only one to survive infancy. She is with her mother Mary on the 1861 census - sadly her mother then passed away in 1862 and Thirza lived with her maternal grandparents Ann and John Middleton in the hamlet of King's Newton. Thirza became Mrs James Fitchett in 1878.
