Fanny
Amelia Tivey was born 1896 in Dudley, Staffordshire on the 11th
November 1896. She was the eldest and only daughter to survive
infancy of Isaac Morris Tivey (1862-1913) and Eliza Jane Fones
(1865-1960). In the 1911 census she was listed as a student,
residing at 25 Bourne Street, Dudley with her parents and younger
brother Harry Morris Tivey (1900-1968). Isaac and Eliza had three
other children who sadly did not survive infancy. The eldest
child William Henry Tivey died at the age of 3, sisters Annie Alice
and Ivy Gertrude sadly died in early infancy. After the death
of her father in 1913 she lived with her mother Eliza for a number
of years in Dudley. She enjoyed spending time with her brother Harry
and his wife (and first cousin) Gladys Tivey (Daughter of Tom
Brown Tivey, her father's twin brother) She remained a
spinster and died at the grand old age of 95 in Wolverhampton,
Staffordshire in 1989. Thanks to Janet Doody for
sending me this photograph and the numerous other items she sent.
