The grand gentleman at the centre of this photo is
William Tivey
born in Burton on Trent Staffordshire in 1871. William was a postman by trade and moved with his family to Salford in Lancashire around 1908. He died in Salford in 1971 a few weeks short of his 100th Birthday. His wife Jessie Mary Tivey (nee Faulkner) is on his left and his daughter Edith Baxter nee Tivey completes the picture |
